Calculate an architectural asphalt roof budget
The supported Oklahoma range applies to 1,500 to 3,000 square feet of actual roof surface. Keep the example if you do not already have a roof measurement.
Keep the 2,000 sq. ft. example, or enter an area you already know. Roof footprint means the area covered, not total living space.
Keep the 6:12 example unless you already know the pitch. Pitch helps check material suitability.
Planning budget example
Planning example for 2,000 sq. ft. of actual roof surface, using architectural asphalt shingles. Ordinary tear-off is included.
Includes ordinary removal of one existing layer, moderate complexity, normal access and a usable deck. Damaged decking, structural repairs, extra layers, unusual access, specialty details and other roofing systems need separate project pricing.
Discuss your roof projectOklahoma architectural asphalt planning only. A measured roof and agreed scope establish the project price.

Planning assumptions and roof measurement
The range uses Oklahoma architectural asphalt replacement examples for 1,500 to 3,000 square feet of actual roof surface. It assumes one existing layer, moderate roof complexity, normal access and usable decking.
Known roof surface keeps the area as entered. Roof footprint is adjusted for the entered pitch before the supported size range is checked. Living-space area is not a roof measurement.
The inspection establishes roof condition and the connected work. Hidden deck damage, structural repairs, unusual access and specialty materials fall outside this example.
What changes the roof budget in Guthrie
The output is useful when its assumptions match the project.
- Roof area and pitch
Known surface is already the roofing area. Footprint is converted using the pitch you enter. The tool checks the converted surface against the supported size range.
- Normal replacement conditions
The example includes removal of one existing layer and assumes moderate complexity, normal access and a usable deck.
- Work to price separately
Damaged decking, structural repair, unusual height or access, additional layers and specialty details require a property-specific allowance.
